Jasprit Bumrah claimed five wickets and Mohammed Shami three as Australia were bowled out for 210, handing India a 139-run victory on day five.

The win puts India 2-1 ahead in the five-match series. India now need to avoid defeat in the remaining two Tests to retain the coveted trophy.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir praised the team's fighting spirit, saying the MCG win was the series turning point after India's defeat in the second Test.
