San Francisco: Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled the Vision Pro 3 at the company's annual developer conference, describing it as 'the most important product Apple has ever shipped for accessibility'.
The headset uses a next-generation on-device AI model to narrate the physical environment in real time, enabling visually impaired users to navigate spaces, read text, and identify faces with 96% accuracy.

A brain-computer interface co-developed with Synchron allows users with mobility impairments to control the device through thought alone, eliminating the need for hands-on interaction.
Priced at ₹3.5 lakh in India, the Vision Pro 3 attracted over one million global pre-orders on launch day. An India launch is scheduled for October 2026.
Medical professionals called the accessibility suite 'a decade-long leap forward' for assistive technology, noting that the real-time spatial audio overlay alone could transform mobility for the blind.
